| Habitus |
Small tree, 7 m high, dbh 16 cm, not notably stinging. Stipules paired at the nodes, scars not united around the stem. Leaves alternate. Inflorescence solitary at the node, branched, spicate. Flowers with a 4-parted perigeon, imbricate in bud; stames usually 4, filaments bent but inward in bud, much longer than the perianth parts.
